Since the centenary year of Bugatti Type 13 cars taking top four positions at the Vetturette racing event was fast approaching, Bugatti decided to commemorate it in grand style.
Lewis Hamilton took his 100th Grand Prix victory in a Russian Grand Prix that started in dry conditions and ended under rain, team strategy came at play, making a late switch to intermediate tyres to take the lead when pole-sitter Lando Norris slid out of the lead with just two laps left. Max Verstappen for redbull made it from P20 to P2, and Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz took third having started second.
Mercedes-Benz have announced their exit from Formula E. Mercedes-Benz have officially issued a statement that they will quit the Mercedes EQ Team and Formula E at the end of Season 8 in August 2022.
Max Verstappen has once again taken the lead in the drivers’ standings, after winning the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort over title rival Sir Lewis Hamilton, sending his home fans into ecstasy, as the second Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas completed the podium. While Mercedes Benz AMG team still retains the constructors title leadership for now.
Mika Pauli Häkkinen, also known as ‘The Flying Finn’ was born on 28th September 1968 in Helsingin Maalai Kunta, Finland. He was the Formula 1 World Champion in the years 1998 and 1999 with McLaren. Among the only three F1 drivers from Finland to win the world championship and the only one to do so on multiple occasions. Currently Mika Häkkinen works in driver management and is also a brand ambassador for various companies.
