The Audi e-Tron GT is now on sale at various dealerships across Europe. This fully electric GT comes in two models: both with an all-wheel drive. The Audi e-Tron GT Quattro has a starting price of €99,000 in Germany; while the RS e-Tron GT starts at €138,200.

Kicking off with the launch of the Audi e-Tron GT Quattro and the RS e-Tron GT, the brand with the four rings gets in on the act and sets foot in the extremely exciting world of electric automobiles with a vision that “Future is an Attitude”. Together with an expressive design and revolutionary technology, the four-door coupe illuminates the traditional GT concept. Two powerful electric motors – one on the front axle, the other on the rear axle – make for a smooth electric all-wheel drive. The Audi e-Tron GT “Quattro” delivers up to 470 hp and 630 Nm of torque, sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. Too slow? The RS e-Tron GT reaches up to 590 hp and 830 Nm of torque and bolts from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/h.

Under normal driving circumstances, the lithium-ion battery provides a range of 375km on a single charge, and it charges from 5% to 80% on a 270-kW charger in 22.5 minutes, according to Audi-proved stats. The chassis includes features such as adaptive three-chamber air suspension and an electronic differential lock on the rear axle. The brake pads contain a coating of tungsten carbide which enhances the performance of the brake system. All these features are also available for the Audi e-Tron GT Quattro. Quite a few options are available for both the models, including up to 21-inch wheels, Matrix LED headlights with Audi laser light, and seat covers that hold a high percentage of recycled materials. Audi seems to be going the extra mile to be eco-friendly.

We can almost hear you thinking, another, electric sports car. There is no fun in that. To complete the aural experience, Audi has included the ‘e-Tron sport sound’ - a sonic replacement to the V8 drum is on deck, standard on the RS e-Tron, optional on the Quattro. It uses two control units and amplifiers in the boot to feed speakers, two on the inside and two on the outside of the car. Making use of the data on the motor speeds, throttle inputs, and your ground speed, it throws out a sci-fi style roar into the cabin, which can be toned up or down via three settings. Turn the car on and there is a surprisingly loud throbbing hum on the outside, to warn the pedestrians of your imminent arrival.

The upcoming decade is expected to be the decade of full electric cars. Because of the climatic threats and environmental issues, it becomes extremely important to resolve to a more sustainable lifestyle. For someone who has a knack for luxury, speed, sport and also a thought of not wanting to harm the environment, the Audi e-Tron GT is one way to go! The release of this kraken is certainly a blessing for all the Audi fans and Gran Turismo enthusiasts out there. Audi, with the release of the e-Tron GT makes it very clear that the future is electric and therefore, is working very hard towards keeping its standards while making its cars more environment friendly.

However, the Audi e-Tron GT has a rivalry against the Porsche Taycan and Tesla Model S, let us know in the comments below which would you want to have someday and why?
