The motto “To present the best of the best” was what the founders of Mercedes-Maybach Karl Maybach and his father Wilhelm aspired to live up to. Now, hundred years after the Maybach, specifically the 22/70 HP W 3 model, made its debut, the brand continues to produce only the best. It was way back in the 20th century when the seed to create this unique German automobile brand was first planted. The planting of the Mercedes-Maybach philosophy: 

It was once upon a time hundred years ago that at the Berlin Motor Exhibition that the philosophy of the Mercedes-Maybach brand was set in stone. The essence of the brand’s point of view regarding the production of a luxury automobile was to develop only the best. Furthermore, this ‘Luxe’ vehicle manufacturer focused on technical innovation and stimulated a global car revolution. In other words, the brand sought to create cars that became a seal for creative empowerment. 

Unveiling of Mercedes-Maybach first serial production model:  

The launch of the W 3 Maybach Motorenbau model for production on a large scale in September 1921 helped create a legend for the brand. This car comprises a four-wheel brake (the first German car to possess function), a planetary gearbox, a six-cylinder engine, and magnificent interiors. Above all, this Maybach automobile had a design that is truly out of this world. Therefore, when this car was first exhibited, it became a rage with the public, who considered it a true piece of ‘Art on Wheels.’   

Daimler helps bring and ring a new era for Mercedes-Maybach:  

In 1960, Daimler, a German automotive corporation, acquired the Maybach Motorenbau GmbH to take the brand to the next level. In 2002, the company ushered in a new era for the automobile company history by launching Maybach 62. More importantly, to celebrate its centenary year Mercedes-Maybach released two new models: S-Class and GLS SUV. The intention is to show the world the best of automotive luxury and modernization. 

Mercedes-Maybach driven to take innovation in-car technology forward: 

As a brand, Mercedes-Maybach believes in reaching the pinnacle of innovation in developing luxurious cars. This popular German automobile manufacturer also is constantly seeking to create vehicles as per the changing needs of its clientele. It is for this reason that the brand is currently engaged in developing its full-fledged electric car. The details of the vehicle’s official launch and availability in the market will be shared by the brand in the coming few months.  

So, as Mercedes-Maybach completes a hundred years, the brand is set to drive itself forward by setting high standards regarding style, comfort, and craftsmanship.
