Jaguar has enhanced the E-PACE range by introducing the R-Dynamic Black Edition and up-to-date connectivity features. The R-Dynamic Black Edition is meant to improve the compact SUV’s design and visual appeal with bespoke choice of interior elements. The R-Dynamic Black Edition widens the E-PACE range, which features Jaguar’s advanced Premium Transverse Architecture, one gets to choose from efficient Ingenium powertrains – including Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) and Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV). It also provides state-of-the-art connectivity and fancy interiors. New technologies have been enhanced to include both wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, making the E-PACE more connected than ever.
The Black Edition is available in all exterior color options and includes a Black Pack with unique styling features such as black mirror caps, gloss black detailing to the front bumper and on spots around the grille, panoramic roof, privacy glass, Satin Grey 19-inch alloy wheels with contrasting red brake calipers, the side window and vents along with the Jaguar leaper and rear badging are also covered in gloss black finish. The vehicle architecture is made to support the latest generation of electric powertrains and delivers maximum drive comfort and agility. The all-electric P300e provides a driving range of up to 55km and has the ability to charge from 0-80% in under 30 minutes.
The R-Dynamic Black Edition is just as luxurious on the inside as it looks on the outside. The curved 11.4-inch HD touchscreen is the centerpiece of the SUV. The large touchscreen operates the intuitive Pivi Pro infotainment system, providing a greater clarity and allowing the driver to carry out 90% of common tasks within two taps from the home screen itself.
The latest addition of E-PACE is available with a choice of 2.0-litre Ingenium MHEV powertrains, which range from the efficient D165 and D200 diesels to P200 and P250 petrols – all with nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive as standard. The Advanced AWD uses the second-generation ‘Standard Driveline’ technology which automatically distributes torque between the front and rear wheels to ensure optimum traction. This AWD system also utilizes Driveline Disconnect technology which intelligently disengages AWD to optimize efficiency – like when cruising at constant speeds.
The P300e PHEV powertrain combines a 197hp 1.5-litre three-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine and a 107hp Electric Rear Axle Drive motor to deliver 0-100 kmph in 6.5 seconds with CO2 emissions from 44g/km and fuel efficiency of 2.0L/100km. The advanced P300e powertrain operates in one three modes: Hybrid, EV or Save. The HYBRID mode uses both the petrol engine and the electric motor in the most responsive and efficient way, intelligently switching between pure EV driving and using the petrol engine; the EV mode provides zero-emissions driving for up to 55km; the SAVE mode enables the driver to recover up to 85% of battery charge, which can be used later in a journey. The 296hp MHEV variant which produces 400Nm of torque delivering 0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds; this available exclusively in the 300 SPORTS with Jaguar’s second-generation Active Driveline AWD system, it delivers accomplished all-wheel traction with trademark dynamic capability.
