If you think that the new E-Class was meant only for the business tycoons and not hot-blooded, power-hungry, torque loving, enthusiasts out there, then you are wrong. For the rev lovers, E-Class was available in the Mercedes AMG 63 S trim, but what if you wanted to be a true performance car that leaves a trail of dust in the face of your competitors?
For that badass in you, who wants to arrive discreetly Mercedes-Benz cars has launched the E AMG 63 S sedan in matt Graphite Grey Magno paint that comes with 20-inch AMG forged wheels in a cross-spoke design, an aerodynamically optimized, high-sheen black with gloss-tinted clearcoat, to emphasize the special status, along with the AMG emblem on the C-pillar and the foiling on the sides of the car.
And just as you thought, this was not enough, even Mercedes-Benz engineers & designers thought so. This Mercedes E-class is not just a facelift, but an exclusive edition. So, what all additional work have they done to make you feel special? Well, to begin with, there are only 999 units to be produced of this special Mercedes-AMG car.
And each of those 999 units of the AMG e sedan will get, the AMG Night Package. It includes numerous exterior elements in high-gloss black: the front splitter of the AMG front apron, the inserts of the AMG side sill panels, the trim element in the front wings, the beltline trim strips and window surrounds, the outside mirror housings and the trim strip of the AMG rear apron. Also included in the package is heat-insulating dark-tinted glass from the B-pillar. Two trapezoidal, black chrome twin tailpipe trims form the matching finish at the rear. Carbon Packages I and II can be ordered as options
On the inside, the car gets AMG Performance front seats, to offer lateral support when you as a driver get into the zone to push the car harder. Then there is the AMG performance steering wheel in black Napa Leather with yellow contrast stitching that matches the stitching on the AMG seats.
In terms of power, the Benze e-class comes with a 2925 cc 6 cylinder diesel as the only variant in India. While the regular e-class sedan does come with a petrol engine option, the specifications for this Mercedes-Benz E-class is reserved for a diesel AMG experience. The 3.0 litres engine is tuned for 282 bhp and given that its a Mercedes-AMG e the 600 Nm of torque on power justify the specs and price. Don't be fooled by the low cc engine, the new e-class is already a scorcher and with this exclusive edition, that goes beyond a facelift, pushing the power figures higher along with the on road-price too.
To add on to the exclusivity, the owner gets AMG Final Edition Badging on the car with designated number as the edition version. And to top it off, Mercedes Benz will also provide indoor car cover, with same lettering to pronounce that you have arrived.
The AMG 63 S, goes against the BMW M5 in terms of price and power. With the the on road price being north of a crore (ex-showroom price Rs. 83.51 lakh). Purists will always say, and M is a M. But in our opinion, Ahh My God, isn’t far behind too. And while the M5 will always scream performance this AMG, especially with this exclusive set of colours, will come across a sleeper demon, waiting to be unleashed.
Take our word for it. Just don't be in the rear seats when we are driving one.
